Bananut collects only the information needed to deliver, protect, and understand whether this website is useful.

Information you provide

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include. If you select Start building or a suggested starting point, we temporarily save the request you submitted so it can follow you through sign-in, account setup, and Shopify setup. Please do not include passwords, Shopify credentials, customer data, payment information, or other sensitive personal information.

Site measurement

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance measurement. We also record a small allowlist of first-party events, such as selecting Get started or Sign in. If you choose Allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand page views and which parts of the site are useful. Google Analytics stays off until you allow it. We do not send form contents, email addresses, Shopify data, or user identifiers to marketing analytics.

Service providers and retention

Cloudflare helps us deliver and protect the site and process aggregate analytics. Google processes analytics data only after you allow Google Analytics. A submitted request is encrypted during this temporary handoff, expires within 24 hours if it is not claimed, and is removed from the temporary handoff record after it reaches your app. The request is not included in marketing analytics, URLs, or browser storage. Once it reaches your account, the product keeps the records needed to show and carry out your conversation. We retain contact information only as long as it remains useful for responding to you or as required by law.

Your choices

You can allow or decline Google Analytics when the site asks. Your choice is stored in your browser so we can respect it on later visits, and you can reopen it at any time with Analytics in the footer. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information you have sent us by emailing help@bananut.com. We may need to verify your request.
